The Annual Colorado Short Circuit Film Festival has expanded to 3 Days and returns for a 10th consecutive year September 11th through 13th 2026!
We are back at the Ivywild School Event Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

Welcome to the 10th Annual Colorado Short Circuit Film Festival!

It is exciting to see that Independent Film is thriving in Colorado as you will see from the selected films we are presenting at this year’s festival.

We are celebrating independent filmmaking because it’s one of the most powerful storytelling tools ever created. Cinema combines visual art, music, writing, acting, and technology to evoke emotion, spark imagination, and reflect the human experience. It brings people together—across cultures, languages, and generations—allowing us to see through different eyes and feel deeply connected to others.

Celebrating cinema honors both the artistry behind the scenes and the shared experience in front of the screen. It’s a celebration of creativity, empathy, and the enduring power of stories to move us, change us, and stay with us.

We will be screening 80 short films by Colorado Filmmakers from along The Front Range and beyond. As always, we are celebrating diversity in cinema. Our filmmakers’ ages range from 16 to 70+. We also have a larger representation from Women, People of Color, and LGBTQ+ Filmmakers.

It’s great to see returning filmmakers from previous festivals and meet new talent who have found their way to us for the very first time. Colorado Short Circuit is one of the best ways to meet and network with other filmmakers. It’s a wonderful opportunity to collaborate, exchange ideas, and showcase your work to audiences and other filmmakers in the Indie Film community.

Our 3- day festival has 11 film blocks with short films in categories including Comedy, Drama, Horror/Sci-Fi, Music Video, Animation, Experimental, Documentary, Women in Film, Young Filmmaker Narrative and Young Filmmaker Documentary.

We will wrap up the festival with an awards presentation on Sunday evening with returning musical guest, DJ Skye, who will be warming us up before we announce the winning filmmakers.
